How to Order:  We make ordering from QuiltStories.com quick and easy.  Just fill out the Order Form, select the memory creation you wish to order.  You will receive an immediate e-mail confirmation of your order.  We will send a follow-up e-mail to personalize the details of your photo memory creation. This e-mail will detail your selection, order number, total price, payment options, photograph/verse details and request that you accept our order confirmation.  Quiltstories.com requests a 50% layout and design payment plus any charges for monogram or embroidery when you accept our order confirmation.  We then provide you with the link to your personal web page so that you may view the creation of your purchase. Your Personal Web Page will, generally, be available within 2 - 4 hours after we receive your order confirmation payment. We will be requesting color scheme choices or ideas from you during the creation process. We will also provide you with a convenient link to upload your digital photographs, verses and poems directly to our site. Other photographs may be sent via postal service directly to our business address listed on your order confirmation.  We will be working with you every step of the way to make sure you are happy with your purchase from Quiltstories.com

How to Pay QuiltStories:  We accept major credit cards, check, money order or PayPal payments.  We cannot accept "Debit Cards" at this time.  Credit card payment may be made directly from our main web page.  We will NEVER ask for any credit card information via e-mail.  Credit card payments should always be made directly from our site and never from an e-mail link.  Check and Money orders can be mailed to our business address listed on your order confirmation.  QuiltStories request a 50% payment plus any charges for embroidery or monogramming when you accept our order confirmation with the balance due prior to shipping.

Your Personal Web Page:  Your personal web page is a window to your purchase.  See an example HERE.  Shortly after you have confirmed your order with us, we will be sending an e-mail containing a link to your Personal Web Page.  This web page contains information about your order and can be viewed by anyone having your order number.  We will be placing views of your original photographs, a proposed memory creation photo layout for you to approve, a final photo layout, views of fabrics selected for your creation and the best of all.... We will put photographs of your memory quilt during each step of the creation.  You will know exactly what is happening to your memory creation.  We put a lot of time and effort to make sure you are as happy and excited with your purchase as we are creating it for you or your family.  You can send your personal web page link to family and friends so that they may view your memory creation during the process.

Photographs:  Photographs can be hard copies or digital.  Photo's may be most any size and any orientation, however, we cannot accept photographs larger than 8 1/2" x 11".  We will provide a convenient link on your Personal Web Page so that you may UPLOAD your photo's directly to our site, if you have them in digital format.  Hard copies may be sent directly to our business address listed on your order confirmation.  Your precious photo's will be handled with extreme care and returned with your order.  We prefer the very best hard copy or digital photo you can provide.  We recommend copies but if you choose to send us your originals, Quiltstories.com does not accept liability for loss or damage by our return carrier, the U.S. Postal Service. Be assured that we will exercise extreme care with all of your photographs.  Poor quality photo's or very small photo's will also result in poor quality fabric printing.  We use high density digital scanning which will also transfer cracks, tears and artifact flaws onto the fabric printing process.  We attempt to remove obvious, large flaws if it does not require too much time.  There may be additional nominal charges if your photo's require lots of enhancement and artifact cleaning.  We will never add charges without consulting with you first.

Embroidery and Monogramming: Adding Embroidery or Monogram Designs to your memory creation gives a beautiful personal touch to your Memory Creation. Adding embroidery or monogramming to your memory creation is quick and easy.  Just select your choice on our order form and we will contact you via e-mail or telephone to determine what design you want placed on your quilt and we will do the rest.  We will show you the proposed layout on your personal web page before we start the embroidery or monogramming process.  If you have a design in mind, we can probably accommodate you.  If you have a design in .bmp format we may be able to digitize the design for you and embroider it on your memory creation.  There are small additional charges for digitizing, embroidery and monogramming services.   For more information see our Embroidery and Monogramming page HERE

Gift Certificates: Gift Certificates can be purchased directly from our Order Form. Just select the memory creation you wish to give and also mark gift certificate.  Leave the rest to us.  We will contact you to determine how you want the gift certificate delivered.  Gift certificates must be redeemed within 6 months and are not subject to price changes.  Our gift certificates are not refundable. Shipping and Insurance:  Shipping is Free, within the continental U.S. for all of our Memory Quilt creations.. All of our memory creations are shipped via USPS Insured, Priority with delivery confirmation.  Delivery confirmation requires hand delivery of the shipment.  If no one is there to receive the shipment, the Post Office will leave an attempt to deliver notice and you may arrange delivery at another time. Some of our customers have made prior arrangements with their carriers to leave the package even though no one was there to receive it.  Quiltstories.com uses the U.S. Post office delivery confirmation notice as the final confirmation of delivery and cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen shipments after confirmed delivery.

Color Scheme:  Color choices are all yours... We will help and make lots of suggestions if you wish.  We provide a Color Scheme Submission Form on our main page to assist you in telling us the basic color choices you prefer.  This is only a starting point and gives us a good idea of what you like.  There is also a comments section for you to add notes.  If you are not sure, we will help you every step of the way with suggestions.  We really do make this process easy.

Washing Instructions:  Your Memory Creation will come to you clean and ready to display/use. Our Memory Quilt Creations are hand and machine stitched, well constructed and are washable on delicate/cold cycle with a very mild detergent such as ivory liquid. Do not use bleach, detergents containing softening chemicals, hot water or have your memory creation dry cleaned.  QuiltStories.com highly recommends washing with high capacity front loading machines on delicate. Do not wash your memory creations in agitator type machines.  You may tumble dry at very low heat or use line drying with sun protection. Do not wash your memory creation with other items.

Photo Memories:  Photo Memories are printed on Specially Treated Cotton Printable Fabric.  We DO NOT use IRON-ON peel off fabric sheets.  Each Photo Memory is then bonded to a muslin fabric and integrated into your memory creation.  Go to our Photograph Memories Page for more information

Fabric Selection: Final Layout, Fabrics and Colors are all approximate pending material availability and design requirements.  Memory Quilt Fabrics are selected from stock or locally purchased.  Special order fabrics are available at an additional, nominal charge. See the Color Scheme topic on this page for more information on fabric selections.

Delivery Times: Delivery is contingent on our current workload.  Rush service is available at an additional charge. We work hard to make sure your Memory Creation is delivered to you when you want it. Delivery times are calculated from the time we have received your photographs, color scheme and photo layout approval. See our main page for current delivery time.

 

Order Cancellation:   Due to the amount of setup required, Quiltstories.com charges 20% of the full quoted price to cancel your order after we have created your personal web page and prior to photo/fabric printing.  We cannot accept cancellations after we start printing your photographs.  If circumstances require a delay, we will be most happy to place your order on hold for a period not to exceed 6 months.  We have had lots of return customers and so far, not one cancellation.... If you have an unusual circumstance, please let us know and we will work with you any way we can.
